Moab, Utah This is my favorite place to wheel, by far. The first visit to Moab was in the late 70's (yup, when the Atlas mill was in full operation and you could still drive on the old Dewey bridge over the Colorado River). Since then we've been back just about every year and in 1993 started attending the Easter Jeep Safari sponsored by the Red Rock 4 Wheelers . 2008 - The Easter Jeep Safari and more 2007 - Fun in the Spring and now Fun in the Fall 2006 - Moab, Deja Vu Again and Again 2006 - 20+ Days Going Topless 2005 - Rain, Snow, Ground Zero, Speed Goats and Buddy Holly 2004 - The Safari and San Juan County 2003 - 2 weeks: " I've fallen and can't get up. " 2002 - 3 weeks around Moab: cliffs, rolls, mines and a lot of fun 2001 - A snow run, the Safari and a trip to the Maze 2000 - Dakota Challenge (at Moab) with the Boyz from Illinoiz 2000 - 20 straight days of wheelin' 1999 - Whammy, snow and a romp in the Needles 1998 - The Swell, Safari and Hole in the Rock 1997 - Nothing tough, just scenic this year 1996 - Uranium mines, Big Muddy #3, Potato Salad roll 1995 - Jeep Safari, Lion's Back and roll overs 1994 - Jeep Safari, Muddy Creek and Quicksand 1993 - Little Wild Horse Flash Flood

Dakota Territory Challenge The Dakota Challenge is another favorite event. Once again, the Black Hills have been a favorite vacation spot. The first trip here was in 1971 and in the late 80s we made it out to Sturgis bike week. What a kick! In 1995 we started attending the Challenge. The Black Hills 4 Wheelers are a great group and each year is more fun than the year before. 2005,2006: Sadly I missed these years and may have to wait a couple more until retirement before going out there again and entertaining the good crew from the Black Hills 4 Wheelers. 2004 - DTC2004 and North by Northwest 2003 - The Boyz from Illinoiz breakz their Toyz 2002 - Axlemania 2001 - Kong, Twisted, T-Back and Hal Johns 2000 - Dakota Challenge (at Moab) 1999 - 5 days of trails with the " Boyz from Illinoiz " 1998 - Twisted, Kong, Rodeo and more 1997 - Full Size, Iceman and hail on Rodeo 1996 - Trashed locker, got the handle " Woodpecker " 1995 - A pre-run with the Black Hills 4 Wheelers

Pittsfield, IL Pittsfield is where we do our local wheeling and is the home of Two Rivers Jeep Club. While Pittsfield doesn't have the rocks and wide open spaces of the west, it does provide some of the finest wheeling in the midwest. What makes Pittsfield outstanding, however, are the people. I doubt there is a nicer community to be found. The Rubicon and the Pacific North West These are bits and pieces of trips to the Pacific Northwest, including the Canadian Rockies, the Olympic Peninsula, The Pacific Northwest Jamboree (not affiliated with Jeep Jamboree USA), the Oregon coast and, of course, the Rubicon. 1997 - The Rubicon 1997 - The rest of the trip 2004 - North by Northwest

New Mexico 1998 was my first trip to Las Cruces . It was a loooong drive down and back, especially with collapsed rear springs on the motorhome. I-40 is NOT smooth! Las Cruces was a lot of fun, did some really kick-ass trails.   In 2001 had an opportunity to attend the UFWDA convention in Farmington and some of the guys took us out on a   few of the ARCA (RCAA) trails. The Southwest Four Wheel Drive Association organizes the Chile Challenge, one of the best rock crawling events in the U.
