Here's the clubs, organizations and mailing lists I belong to. Why so many? My philosophy is to support as many clubs and organizations as reasonable since they know what the local issues are and they work to keep their local public lands and trails open. Those of us who don't live near public lands can do little to attend meetings, but we can write letters and support clubs/organizations that work hard to keep trails open.
