While not an official Turkey flocking, Jeff, Tom, Tim and I were invited
by Mike, Brewmaster at America's
Brewing Company located at Walter Payton's Roundhouse, to help serve
(and, of
course,
taste) beer at the Festival for the second year
in a row. Jeff and I helped Friday and Tom and Tim helped Saturday. Of course
Jeff and I
chose
Friday
so we wouldn't have to help tear down on Saturday!
This is before it got busy. From 9 until midnight we were pouring
constantly and much of the time at least one or more taps were open continuously,
just to keep up with demand! There were 9 microbreweries there and in the 2
evening event, Mike alone, went through something like 29 kegs of beer.
Great fun, as always! Even got to see the usual fight break out.
